Today’s guest picture shows a super saturation of Santas in Regent’s Park. They passed my sister Mary as she walked there. They look rather young so perhaps they are just apprentices on zero hours contracts.
A very brief report today as knee to sore for typing. In general it has been a good day with the exercises showing progress and two walks to the end of the road undertaken. I have had visits from Sandy and Mike Tinker and total care from Mrs Tootlepedal so things could hardly be better.
Getting the camera organised is hard and the weather started off gloomily and ended really wet and horrible so there was no opportunity to take any pictures.
Please don’t bother to put comments on this post as I then feel guilty about not answering them. I am very touched by the kind thoughts that readers have extended to me.
This blog, although catering for the worldwide community of chaffinch lovers, is primarily my daily diary so I will keep posting these short dull posts which reflect my rather dull life for a week or so yet just for my own satisfaction.
All the best,
Tom
I shall bother, it is good to know that you are making progress however painful it is.
Keep posting!
No reply necessary – good to hear news of your progress. Hope your weather improves so as to make your walks easier. We’re expecting 3ºC next week – very strange (but much appreciated) for December in the Canadian prairies.
If I could suggest that you take the painkillers at regular intervals even if you don’t think you need them as it will vastly improve your control over your pain. It’s too late once your in intense pain as they just don’t work as well. Good luck Mr T. Xox
Hello Tom, Do not please go back through these posts in order to respond!! Rarely am I comfortable speaking for anyone but me, which is difficult enough! But if I had to money to wager, I would bet that the vast majority of us, your reading audience and commenters, hope you feel no guilt. None. And that you do not make work for yourself by responding. Just heal up, feel better, get strong, and discover whatever is next!
Just adding our wishes to the list with no response needed or expected. Keep on keeping on and we’ll keep reading. We can’t wait to be witness to the adventures a Tootlepedal with a bionic knee will undertake. Love to Mrs T, too.
Don’t worry in the least about responding, we don’t expect it. We just want you to know we’re here following your progress and cheering you on from afar. 🙂 Mrs. T is such a blessing!
Well done for managing the walks and doing the exercises in spite of sore knee. Good to hear, in spite of short blog.
You are never dull, Tom, and please forget about answering comments. I have recently done so and, despite a pang of guilt, nobody has slammed me yet. You are a much loved, original blogger who brings visual and verbal joy and mirth to so many of us (your followers!) I can imagine how frustrating your new knee is and admire you so much for undertaking the painful exercises. Much love to both of you.
Reblogged this on penny feiyuepaper.
I’ve never been glad to miss a post until the next day but I am happy to find out I was following orders. 😉
Well done.
If the knee is too sore for typing, go back to using your fingers. 🙂 Sorry. Couldn’t help myself.
Now you have made me injure myself laughing. You are heartless.
Laughter is medicine, right. Get well soon!
You will quickly develop coping strategies for your new knee. You will find a comfortable way of walking and sitting. Don’t overdo it or you will damage the knee.
I know. I will takes things gently.
