Sad News

Unusually, I am doing two blogs today as I got news that doesn’t fit easily into my usual idle chatter.  In the afternoon Dropscone, or to call him by his given name, Dennis, rang me up to say that his wife Doreen had died earlier in the day.  Doreen had been ill for quite a long time with multiple sclerosis but her sudden death was a great shock and all our thoughts go out to Dennis and his family.

  4. So sorry to hear about Dennis’ wife passing on. Please pass on our condolences to Dennis and his family. I will plant some daffodils for Doreen this fall, here on the farm. I have many such plantings about the place. Memory gardens. She will be in good company.

  5. So sorry to hear of Doreen’s passing. I am so used to you mentioning Dropscone in your posts that I felt sadness even though I don’t know the people in person. I know that you and Mrs T will be a caring support for Dennis as he grieves the loss of his wife. Kind wishes.
