The longest day

Today’s guest picture shows that Tony’s dogs are enjoying their Highland holiday too. Since today was the longest day of the year, I thought it appropriate to try to achieve the longest bike ride of the year while I had plenty of daylight. The forecast was for a warm, cloudy day with a light wind.

Helping Andy win

Today’s picture was sent to me by my brother who was visiting the David Austin rose collection with his wife. There were a tremendous number of young birds in the garden in the morning making a terrific racket as they demanded to be fed.  A starling tried desperately to get into the fat ball feeder
